A 49-year-old man, who used to work at the Prince's Foundation for Integrated Health, was arrested yesterday and is being held at a London police station. A 54-year-old woman has also been arrested. They were arrested on suspicion of fraud and money laundering.
The Prince's Foundation for Integrated Health was set up by Prince Charles in 1993. It is a small charity which promotes the marrying together of healthy lifestyle choices, such as good food, work, access to nature and exercise, with orthodox and complementary interventions to create an environment that promotes wellbeing. In recent years some people have criticized the charity for promoting unscientific approaches to health care.
The arrests follow an investigation into £300,000 (US$ 460,000) of unaccounted funds in the charity's books.
